We noted with pleasure the improved attendance at Sunday-school last Sunday morning. The absence of teachers, however, was record breaking. Good congregations attended both preaching services and especially at aight, there being no preaching at the Methodist church. "Pastor Frier preached in the morning on The AllSeeing Eye, or the Omniscience of God; and at night a special sermon on The Threatening Danger of Lawlessness. The close attention given this earnest message by the audience gives hope of future good coming of It A very good attendance at the B. Y. P. The Methodist conference decided ;o continue the appropriation of $1,)00 to the Carlisle Fitting School at Bamberg, which is no more than ihould be done. If the colleges get ippropriations to keep them going, here is no reason why the Pitting Schools should not also have help, in appropriation of $750 was also nade to the Cokesbury Conference School. Bamberg, and is a woman of exceptionally fine character and charm Df manner. The groom lived in Bamberg for a number of years, and has a large number of friends and well-wishers in this community.
