primary give Senator Taliaferro, who
is running for reelection, 21,045, N.
D. Broward 21,018, and Claude
' L'Engle 4,6t^0. For congress, S. M.
( Sparkman was nominated without
opposition. Frank Clarke defeated
his opponent by a large majority, and
N. H. Mays will be returned to congress
by a safe majority. The official
count will be made on May 24.
A second primary wil be necessary
for United States senator and will be
held on June 7.
