Greenville, Dec. 12.?Some ex- , citement was caused here this afternoon when a warrant charging perjury was sent out against L. W. Ferguson and A. E. Milan, the two special detectives, who have been working up cases against the "blind tigers" for the past two weeks. The warrant was sworn out by an A. attorney for one of the parties arrested through the work of the detectives. A bond of $1,000 was arranged and is signed by eight of the most prominent residents of Greenville. The cause of the action was a discrepancy in the statements of the two officers in a trial this morning, in which they were witnesses. The preliminary will be held at once. W. He was en route to Oakland, Pr Cal., a card instructing notification to be made to L. M. Holloway, Manning, S. C., was found. He was evi- ? dently in comfortable circumstances. No liquor was seized here last Saturday night, although the police ne were on the look out for violators of tu the law. A few white men and ne- *n groes were arrested, however, for ev drunkenness.
