pond beneath. Truly it was a night
of nights for lovers, and — for
eating fish!
Mr. Frank Cave was unanimously
elected to fry the fish—-an electiofi
based upon yeacs of experience. Some
of the folks attempted to show him
how it should he done, much to the
chagrin of the patient fryer, and i
when the writer laughingly told them!

eat, did you?" he replied. “Neith'r

Lyndhurst, May 2.—Quite ; n en
joyable picnic was held on the banks
of the Lower Three Runs on Saturday
last, given by the-local school. Some
of the party enjoyed fishing, while
others took advantage of the oppor
tunity to take what was foi the
