Cross a tonsil o id adenoid clinic will
he held on ^Thursday, Friday and Sat
urday of this we;*k for the benefit of
the* schools of ‘this county. All the
teachers will serve on various com

Barnwell school building.
After adjournment of the business
meeting, Hu* ladies joined tin* men
of the Mcj/i’s Bible Class in their class
morn for the'sociaj hour. A dialogue
entitled, “Silk Carment,” was well
presented by" Messrs. Clarence .1.
Fit klfhg and Briggs B. Kammer. A
chorus from, the two classes furnished
most enjoyable music for the evening.
“Cream ami Cake” brought a most
pleasant evening to a close it was

eurred at a hospital there. Mrs.
Trenholm was the widow of the late
Mr. Frank Smith Trenholm, of
Charleston, who died several years
ago. She was y graduate trained
nurse before her marriage, and after
her husband’s death she again friok up
the profes-ion. She is .survived by
two splendid little sons. ti
Mrs. Trenholm. as Miss Mamie Lan
caster, had many relatives and
friends in Barnwell County and

throughout this entire section, who are
greatly '.-hocked and giieved at the
news of her deuth. She was* *i grand
daughter of the late Capt. t. Wyatt
Lancaster, of* Barnwell.
The funeral services were held at.
the *L M. Connelly Chapel Tuesday f
morning and interment took place at
Magnolia Cemetery beside her hus- ■
band, in the family plat.
Mrs. .Trenholm is survived by her
father, Mr. Joe II. Lancaster^ two
brothers, Menses. Willie and Lamb
Lancaster, and two sisters, Mrs. B. P.
-Hartzog, of Olar, and Mrs. Irene
Bryant, of Orangeburg. Sincere sym
pathy is extended to them in their

Mr. Rankin was a prominent min-

out the State, Two of his sons are
missionaries in China.
Mr.-Rankin is survived hy his wid
ow. Mrs. Emma C. Rankin, of Willis
ton; five sons, W. E. Rankin, of An-
der-an. L. C. Rankin, of Miami, Fla.,
J, E. Rankin,‘'of Otfumhia. M. I. Ran
kin. missionary at Cant'ni, China, and
M. \V. Rankin; Jr., missionary at
