ried to his home and the coroner and
sheriff were notified of the accident.
This is said to be the first time that
a person has been killed in Williston
by an automobile and the sympathy
of the community goes out to the two

Mr. Cunningham, who until recently
was a resident of Williston, is con
nected with the State highway depart
ment.
Mr. Powell, who was about 60 yea r s
old, is survived by his widow, former
ly a Miss Webb, two married children,
Joe Powell and Mrs. D. H. Stringfield.

sons, Tom Powell, is in the United
States navy.
