will be given transportation expenses
to and from Rock Hill for the State'
Spelling Contest. (Winthrop College

other, kept from attending. In that

The Town Council of ; Barnwell met
in regular session at 8:Oo O’clock Mon
day'night,‘April 6. Present: Mayor
J. G. Moody, Jr., and Alderman Davis.
The following cases were disposed
of: Bill Mims was found guilty of
storing whiskey and was sentenced to
pay a fine of SjUKOO or serve 110 days
on the public works. He^yas allowed
aidil May dih to pay the fine.
Stroy Hampton, charged with curi
ng and disorderly conduct, forfeited
his cash bond of $”>,00.
Two men. charged with being
drunk, forfeited cash bonds of.$10.0.)
each.
Two other men pleaded guilty to
drinking, and were each sentenced to
pay a Jine of $0.00 or serve ten days
on the public works. The fines Were
paid.
Dr. Milhous, of the Board of Hea’th
of Barnwell, nv-t with Council —and

quiring the owners of all dogs to
have their dogs, vaccinated against
rabies. Dr. Milhous’ also called .at-
