than these from the Progressive
Farmer: “The home garden must lx*
flooked after regularly and carefully
or it will ‘stop giving’ vegetables ju t
as surely as the old cow will ‘stop
giving’ milk when she is not property
fed and otherwise looked after. Some
of our tables hav** very few fresh
vegetables on them in Septembn,
October and November and the reason
for this is that we have let the gaiv
den ‘go dry’ in June and July. Pig
weeds waist high and a fine crop of
crab grass will ‘dry up’ tiny garden in
short order.”
Not one in a l/undred of our South
ern homes attains half the pos-ibi i-
ties of a fall and winter garden and
the rea-on for this is that the st^rt
js riot made right and is not kept up,
so the garden like the cow when not
properly cared for “goe- dry.”
Almost all the ...vegetable- can be
planted now with the reasonable as
surance that they wlil mature la-fore
frost. Especially -hould one plant
tomatoes, collards, beets, corn, black-
eyed pea-, and loma or butter iH-aris.
Let's keep right aft^r the garden.
Mrs, -Housekta per, are you plan
ning to have some fall tomatoes? II
not, why not, Don’t you^tnow that
you Van have tomatoes up to and

Eminent doctors agree that tomatoes
have five wonderful properties: fir-t,
they are the richest in vitaminem sec

the richest of all vegetables in natuial

Cramping Spells
OR MORE THAN A YEAR I had been in a
■ r
very bad condition,” says Mrs. R. E. Kimbrell,
of Route 1, Dorchester, Texas. “I suffered
with cramping spells which gave me bad pains in
my back and sides. Sometimes I would have to
catch at something, I would get so suddenly dizzy.
... I had to quit doing my work. I tried many reme
dies, but none of them seemed to do me any good.
"In April I went up to Arkansas.to TLsit my sister. . . .
Bhe said to me, ‘Willie, if you are going to take anything,
take Cardui. It will really help you.’ I came home and told
my doctor what she had said and he said I could hot take any
better tonic, so my husband immediately got me a bottle and
I began it. ... My case was a pretty tough one, I know, so
1 kept on faithfully. After the fourth bottle, I began to feel
very much better, so much so that I was surprised at myself.
1 have taken six bottles now and I can truly say I feel like a
different woman. ... I feel fine and I owe it all to Cardui,
which I took faithfully.”
