Dear little hands,, we miss thee so,
AH through the day, wherd’ev v/c go;
All through the night, how lonely it

For no little hands to wake me from
my dreams.
We miss thee all through the weary
hours,
We miss thee as others do sunshine
and flowers;
Daytime and night time, where’er we
go,
Dear little hands, we miss thee ^o.

Neil Hamilton, practically unknown
to motion picture patrons, has just
signed a contract with D. W. Griffith
whereby he is assurec work at a good
salary with the noted producer’s or
ganization for a term or three and a
half years. Hamilton appears in Mr.
Griffith’s new production, “The White
Rose,” a United ArPsts release book
ed for Thursday, and Friday, April
10th and 11th at* the Vamp theatre.
His v/ork in this piece so pleased Mr.
Griffith that the long-term contract
resulted.
A typtical American youth is Hamil
ton. He has tried his hand at all
trades and has one thing he is proud
of—he never allowed himself to be
out of work more than two days since
ne left school apd started out to make
a living.-
The young man has been an actor
oftentimes; has played only “extra”
parts in pictures before securing his
Griffith cngagi-ment in “The Whitp
Rose,” but if experience is a good
teacher he has had lots of it.
Mr. Griffith, who wanders about in
quest of players and ideas, happened
to drop in on a stock company per
formance in Brooklyn one day and
observed Hamilton playing a small
part in support of Cecil Spooner. The
appearace and work of the youth ap
pealed to the motion picture producer.
