play at J. R. Harrison’s store, and

Barnwell Graded School, in the near
future. -
The medal is three inches irr diame
ter. The head of Lincoln is a repro
duction of Douglas Volk’s famous
painting, "Abraham Lincoln”. The
-culpturing is the work of Charles L,
Hinton, an artist ^>f note. Both ar
tists are Americans. A space is pr >
vided on the back of the medal f

tising o/ any kind is found on the

The first medal was presented to
Lloyd George, on the oceai*non of his.
visit to the tom!) of Lincoln in the
Fall of 1923. Others have been plac
ed in the Lincoln collections and libra
ries throughout the country, but none
has been sold or none will be sold;
they are not for sale at any price.
PROBATE SALK.-
The tax books for the collection of
1923 taxes will be open from Oct. 15
to Peg, 31, 19^3, inclusive,- without
penalty. From January 1st to March
15th the regular lawful penalties will
be added. Books close March 15th,
1924.

school districts. In asking for vour
taxes be sure and state school dis
trict in whinh property is located.
Dogs are not entered on the tax
books. Separate receipt and tags
will be glyen for dogs over six months
old.
