Boys Win Prizes.
, The duh work for the year was
finished during December, at which
time prizes were sent to those who
won. The fir^t prize, in the com club
was won by Cecil Weijm>rtz, of Elko,
who made- seventy-five b&shels and
. twenty-three pounds of corn to one
acre ut a cost of twenty-three and
three-quarter cents per bushel.. X' 1 * 8
included rent of land, fertilize!:, seed,
etc. The second prize was won by
Clyde’ Hutto, of Barnwell, and the
third best exhibit by Jesse Lain, of
’Barnwell, „ ‘~
First prize in the pbr Huh was won*
4iv Jack C. Morris, of Olar, whose pig
weighed two hundred twenty-five
pounds at about ten- months old,
gaining an average o^ about gi pound
a day during the whole time the
records were kept.
The prize money was fufnised by
four Ivanks, namely: -Bank of West
ern Carolina, BJackville and Barn
well, Bank of Willliaton and Home
Bank of Barnwell. Each one of the
abovj gave lift *en. dollars.
The club work for the year was
very suicersful and we expect to

est to their many relatives and
friends -was the-marriage of Miss
Lillian Juanita* Hiitto" to Mr. John
Doyle Templeton, which occurred
Wednesday afternoon, Cec. 2Gth, at
4o’clock. The ceremony was
performed by the bride’s pastor, the'
Rev. L. H. Miller, *of Blaekviilo, at
the home,of the bride’s mother, Mrs.
Leola Hutto, in the presence of a
large number of relatives and friends,
the crowd being So large that the
ceremony was performed on ^the
front porch. ^
The bride looked very lovely in her
wedding dress of gray satin char-
meuse, with accessories to* match.
The happy young couple left, im
mediately to visit the bride’s sister,
Mrs. R. §h Woodwanl, of, Williston.
The groom, who is the oldest soy of
Mr. J. M. Templeton, is a prosperous
young farmer of the Bmckvilie se---
tion. The bride is the youngest dau
ghter, of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hi\tun
Jr., of the Double Pond section, whose
popularity was attested by the many
useful presents. Their friends join
in wishing thym a life of happiness
and prosperity.
