ton stalks and calling on all agricul
tural clubs and organizations in the
country to Join in the movement of de
stroying stalks, was adopted by the
Aiken Agricultural club at its month
ly meeting here. The movement
promises to l>e of far reaching Im
portance.

All the killed and wounded were
refugees or orphans from American
and British orphanages housed in
the old fortress.
