Charleston.—The 75th annual con vention of the South Carolina Medi cal association came to a conclusion, a series of scientific papers being the final business. The next annual con vention will be held in Orangeburg. Dr. L. O. Mauldin of Greenville is npw president, haring succeeded Dr. C. Fred Williams of Columbia in the election. The principal feature was the Joint meeting with the South Carolina Nurses' association and the South Carolina Hospital association when Miss Clara Noyes, cheif of the bureau of nursing of the American Red Croas, delivered an address on the practical phases of professional nursing.
