Slender-limbed “jazz babies” with light brown skins and their ehoto- late colored partners displayed amaz ing agility in the athletic dances that spread over the two acts. Blanch^ Thompson, one of ■the best colored prima donnas on the stage, who appeared as “Jessie vVii- liams,” and Theo McDonald, who es sayed the role of “Harry Walton,^ have sufficient musical voices to make their interpretations of two of the leading characters especially pleasing. There is an interesting array of colored types in the show, which last night’s audience seemed greatly to appreciate, .and. there are some of the greatest voices ever heard here in musical comedy. The performance sparkles like old champagne and it is guaranteed to rejuvenate the most tired business man or the jaded spirits of anyone.
