Arthur Merritt Kennedy entertained ehtr fiefillwm of their family and a few friends, this beinjr the second an niversary of their marriage. The whole lower floor of the lovely home was decorated for a “jmjjer wed- dinpr.” . The quests were received at the door by Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Kenne dy and presented to the host and hostess in the front parlor. From here they wore shown into the draw ing room, where punch was served by Mrs. J. A. Latimer and Miss Cora Hutto. In this room the lovely K'fts were displayed. Later all were asked into the din ing room, where a delicious buffet s-upper was served. The decorations carried out pastel colors in paper. The table was covered with paper damask cloth. In the center of the fable was a mound of sweet peas ra diating from which were streamers of narrow .rifebpn* on which wer^ placed small bunches of sweet peas, these being later used as favors. Mr*. Q. A. Kennedy. Jr., served hot < offer at one end of the table and Mr*. J. E. Kennedy cut block ice • ream at the other end. Just before leaving, the guests were asked to register in the guest book presided iver by Miss Bet tie Matthew*. Mm. Kennedy was in black panne velvet with jet ornaments and wore a cor sage of paper sweet pea* R J Rountree was a visitor in C*o- fumbta last week A. E Owen* ha* returned to tie.
