not advertise, wbut they have for eale,
how axe the people going to know
that they have the goods ?
The mail order houses do millions
of dollars of business every year, and,
there is no doubt that if the mer
chants would advertise they «ould
keep s large amount of this money
at Ipnue. When a dollar is sent to
northern merchants it is more thsn
likely to stay them, and that puts
that much out of circulation in our
own county. Get busy, Mr. Merchant,
and advertise you goods and keep
the money at home.

IN MEMORY OF JOHN JACOB
Dearest brother, we have laid thee
In the peaceful grave’s embrace,
But thy memory shall be cherished
Till we see your heavenly face.
Like £ flower you pass away.
Destroyed in all your bloom; .
You left this world and all your loved
ones
To moulder in the grave.
Dearest brother, you have left us
And' thy loss we deeply feel.
But ’tis God Who hath bereft us—
He can all our sorrows heal.
You are gone but not forgotten.
Never will your memory fade.
Our thoughts will ever linger
Around the grave where you are
* laid.

An added proof of Buick superiority is the
