Mr. Editor:
The latest news from Mr. Bryant
is from Mr. Bryant himself and he
says, “I believe I am groinp: to Ret
well, if I can stand the treatment,
and I am certainly Roingr to try.”
This is very encouraging news, coupl
ed with the latest news from the
physician in charge that “he feels
justified in holding out excellent
prospects for recovery”. I am sorry
that I have not received a report this
week from the physician in time for
this issue, but will doubtless have
same in the next few days. In the
meantime, I hope that all of Mr.
Bryant's friends who have responded
so nobly in cash and pledges will
come forward and pay up those
pledges, or a part at leas£ in order
that he may be able to stay and
continue his treatment.
< Mr. J. W. Bates came in on Mon
day morning with a splendid sum
derived from the annual Easter Egg
Hunt given by Mt. Olivet Church,
of which Mr. Bryant is a member.
The egg hunt netted $11.70 and Mr.
Bates also turned in $1.50 on pledges
made by member*. This make* a
tootal of $22.S& in rash and $9.50
due on pledges by the good people
of this taertion
