Leila Joyner, aped 18 year*, died
at her home April 1, 1922.
Oft do flower* #t dewey morning
bloom in lovliness most rare. Then
fold dose their tender petals ere

youthful life so bright dwelt among
us, loved and loying, filling all the
home with light.,«
Perished she ere any sorrow of
the world’s deceit or strife came to
crush that heart so blithesome, came
to mar that spotless life.' Kighteen
bright summers scarce had bloa-
aomed sine© the dawn of that sweet
life—eighteen summers full of- glad
ness, then she left us, sorrow rife.
Clinging to the Cross we murmur,
‘‘Keep her Lord, Thy will be done.”
You have left us but we would not
call you back to ‘life again, for we
know that you are happy, know the
Heaven where you wait us is a
brighter home than this.
There, sweet Leila, in Cod’s own
Kingdom with His chosen children

pure, we will strive to meet you,
darling, in that bright and happy
home. ‘Tis hard to lay her deep in
the damp cold earth, -but fhou -art
safe in Heaven above, safe with
the dear Father, the everlasting one.
, She was a member of the Friend
ship Baptist Church. She is survived
by her mother, father, one sister
and two brothers. Her remains
were laid to rest on April 2nd in the
"Friendship cemetery In the prepence
of many sorrowing relatives and
friends, the funeral services being
conducted by the ReV. Davia, of
Hilda, at her home. Valirea -Black.
