MOTHER! CLEAN
CHILD’S BOWELS WITH
vS CALIFORNIA FIG SYRUP
Even a sick chlltl loves the “fruity"
taste of “California Cig Syrup.” If the
little tongue is coated, or if your child
is listless, cross, feverish, full of cold,
or has colic, give a teaspoonful to
cleanse the liver and bowels. In a few
hours you can see for yourself how
thoroughly it works all the constipa
tion poison, sour blie and waste out of
the bowels, and you have a well, play
ful child again.
Millions of mothers keep “California
Fig Syrup” handy. They know a tea
spoonful today saves a sick child to
morrow. Ask your druggist for genu
ine “California Fig Syrup” which has
directions for babies and children of
sll ages printed on bottle. Mother!

"I rode the blinds and side-door pull-
mans for 800 miles over the J5I. K. A
T.. Sante Fe and Texas and Pacific
railroads,” McCalib reported to the
American Legion authorities of Texas
handling the unemployment problem.
“I noted three outstanding things In
the six-day trip. First, the real, old-
tlme hobo of the hack door variety
has almost disappeared. Second,
there were n large number of young
men who were too young to have
entered the nrmv. The majority of the
men riding the rods'were of tlilsolnsA.-
Thlrd, there was 'a comparatively
small number of ex-service men on the
rod*. They were nnftrenhly untrained

It was Just a comic opera war any

whence they sailed two months ago
to Join the Spanish Foreign I,eglon
for service against the Moors. Tbe
would-be Foreign legionnaires were
represented In numbers among ex-serv

of work.
After enlistment In New York, the
recruits, almost all of whom had
served overseas with the American
army, were sent to Ceuta. Africa
There they were Informed for the firs*
time that out of their pay of 4Vfc
pesetas a day (about 00 cents) they
must hay their own uniform, food,
even arms and ammunition.
“It sgs the funniest war you ever

Brooklyn, who explained that the hard
er you fought the more It would cost
you for ammunition. If a man fought
r«ey hard he would soon be deeply In
debt to the Spanish government. If.
on the other hand, he conserved am
munition and tried to nave money, he
stood excellent chances of being

According to sworn statements and

used the preparation, the success of Dr.

so many people claim, that it fulfills al
