plant, which was late ‘in getting
started, to mature.
The price of cotton paid to pro
ducers December 1, was, larmounced
as fourteen cents a pound, the low-
ost-for that date since 1915.
The final production estimate is 1,-
5000,000 bales more than forecast from
the (condition of the crop late in June
Vast improvement was shown as the
season progressed and the • August
condition brought a forecast of 12,-
783,000 bales. TTmt was reduced by
the September condition of 12,123,000
bales. t
In Texas and South Carolina the
crop is a record one, as is that of Ar
kansas. Production in California and
Arizona has about doubled the pro
duction of any previous year.
