Rural activities of the Young Worn-
en’g Christian Association this winter
will be featured by education in saw
lugs, investment, oo-operative move
ments, budgets, training in purchas
ing, ii/jusehold budgets and keeping of
accounts, accord log to a formal an
nouncement just made. The work
will be undertaken by the General
Education Bureau of the Y. W. C. A.
co-operating with the United States
Treasury Department. An extensive
program Is now being developed by
the twp organizations in every one of
the eleven fields intn which the Y. W.
C. A. is divided, covering the entire
country.
Field thrift chairmen of the Y. W.
C. A. will act In conjunction with the
government savings organisations In
each federal reserve district, it la an
nounced, in promoting the study and
practice of thrift. Directors of Ohe
women’s divisions of these organiza
tions will work in connection with the
field thrift committees appointed by
the association.
