Almost every day there comes into
our office some person from different
sections of the county with the news
that there is illicit selling of intoxi
cating liquors in his section of the
county. Sometimes he says the seller
is a negro and sometimes a white man.
The stuff sold is of the worst kind,
and is likely to cause crimes to be
committed, or depredations of some
sort against the peace and dignity
of the State. The price charged is
high enough to be prohibitive but
there are a few persons with mory
than brains who will part
with goad money for the vile staff,
as a csnssqusare the good
and grade sires with purebred sires.

economy of joining the “Better Sires
—Better Stock” crusade or the “Bull
