Williston, June 6.—Bamberg contin
ues to lead the Tri-County league, the
handsome record of seven games won
and two lost. Williston follows on
Bamberg’s trail, just one game be
hind, with a record of five won and
two lost. Two teams, Allendale and
Barnwell, each have' a percentage of
.500, breaking even iq games so far,
while Blackville, with three victories
and five defeats, and Denmark, with
no wins and six downfalls, occupy the
cellar. •

The United States Civil Service
Commission has announced an exami
nation for the County of Barnwell, S.
C. to be held at Barnwell, S. C. ( on
July 10, 1920 to fill the position of
rural carrier at Dunbarton, S. C. and
vacancies that may later occur on ru
ral routes from other post offices in
the above-mentioned county. The
examination will be open only to citi
zens who are actually domiciled in the
territory of a post office in the coun
ty and who meet the other require
ments set forth in Form No. 1977.
-Both men and women, if qualified,
may enter this examination, but ap
pointing officers have the legal right
to specify the sex desired in request
ing certificates of eligibles. Women
will not be considered for rural car
rier appointments unless they are the
widows of U. S. soldiers, sailors, or
marines, or the wives of U. S. sol
diers, sailors, or marines who are
physically disqualified for examina
tion by reason of injuries received in
the line of military duty. Form No.
