Williston, April 26.—The Williston Democratic Club held its regular meet- M ing Saturday, the 24th inst., and elec ted officers for the ensuing year, and also elected delegates to the County Convention, which is to be held in Barnwell the first Monday in May. HAGOOD OF BARNWELL ELECTED BANK DIRECTOR Bank of Western Carolina Held An nual Meeting Last Week. At the annual meeting of the stock holders and directors of the Bank of Western Carolina, which was held in Aiken on Tuesday of last week, Mr. M. B. Hagood, of Barnwell, was elec ted as one of the directors of that institution to fill the vacancy caused by the death of the Hon. George H. Bates. Local base ball players met last *k and organized a club for Bam- bergTo unite with the Tri-County league which has recently been form ed with teams from Bamberg, Barn well, Allendale, Williston, Blaekville and Denmark. The first game in the new league will be played on May 4th. It is planned to play two games each week on Tuesdays and Fridays, one game at home and one at one of the neighboring towns. Miss Olive Parker left for her home in Williston on Monday, her term of school for this district having been completed on that date. Messrs. W. D. Gantt, of Barnwell, and Dan Walker, of Ellenton, spent Sunday here, the guests of relatives and fridhds. Mr. L. G. Hay has returned from a stay of some weeks with relatives in Charleston.
