This extraordinary dividend was de cided upon at a recent meeting of the board of directors of the institution at which it was determined to increase the capital stock from $50,000 to $100,* 000. Stock certificates for the new subscribers are A also being issued. This is the second time the Bank of Florence has declared a 100 per cent dividend, the first being in 1905. It has paid other dividends each year amounting to fiom eight to 20 per cent.. The Bank of Florence is the oldest bank In the county. The divi dend which was announced has creat ed great interest in business and banking circules. W. J. Brown is president of the bank.
