are now using the squeal to induce the
Allies to modify the peace terms.
After all there's something to be
said in favor of wearing masks at the
“movies.” They have a tendency to
act as muffflers on those oboxious
persons who insist on reading aloud
the titles and sub-titles of pictures ts
the annoyance of everyone in their
immediate vicinity.
The tax books will open
16th. 1919, for the collection of Bute,
county and school Uxcs for the fiscal
year 1919, and will remain open until
Dec. Slat, 1919, without penalty.
From Jan. 1st to 31st, 1920, inclu
sive, there will be a penalty of one
f er cent, added/ to all unpaid Uxes.
rom Feb. 1st to 28th, inclusive, an
additional one per cent, will be added.
From March 1st to 16th, inclusive,
an additional five per cont., making a
total of seven per cent, will be col
lected for all taxes paid to and inclu
ding March 15, 1920, at which time
the tax books will close.
The tax levy will be:

For Constitutional School*. 3 mills
