Couth Carolina Memorial commission,
who was in Columbia, Henry W. Fair
accepted the chairmanship of the
Richland county memorial commie-

Mr. Fair said that'he would attempt
to build up a thorough! and efficient
corps ’ of workers for the memorial
drive In Columbia and Richland coun
ty, and was sure that the allotment
of $60,000 would he quickly subscrib
ed. He hopes to have the quota in
hand by the end of the month, believ
ing that the people will liberally sub
serfbe to the erection of the building
in commemoration of those South Car
olinians who fought and fell in the
world war if they are only approach
ed and have the project explained to
them.

tions are that the campaign for a fund
