Seventy-seven years ago on Jan
uary 3, 1842.the home of Dr. and Mrs.
John M. Turner was made happy by
the tfift to them from their heavenly
Father of their first girl baby, little
Sue. This child grew to be the pride
of the family. She portrayed the
highest type of the old school of Sou
thern womanhood; she was modest, re
fined, dignified and cultured. After
Caving attended the schooU of Au
gusta, Ga., she received her diploma
fiom Judson College; Madison, Ga.
She used her priceless gift for the
benefit of her friends and neighbors
