dinarily these ^adjectives are used in
a most extravagant way, hut such is
not fhe case when applied, to the an
nual meeting of the South Carolina
Press Association, which was held in
Greenville on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday of last week, which was at
tended by a large number of the
scribes and their families. The
courtesy and hospitality of the Moun
tain City people were elegant—the
meeting itself <vas great—the welco/ne
extended ihe visitors was grand—the
weather was glorious—Gr^enViUe is-
magnificcnt and the^trip up the Blue
Ridge M mntains to Hendersonville
was wonderful.

After a brief business session Wed-
nesdAy moming, the-visitors enjoyed
sn Automobile trip up the mountsins
to Hendersonville, where they were
the guests of the Greenville Chamber
of Commi e** at a luncheon. That^ven-
ing the same organization tendered
them a banquet at the Imperial Hotel,
which was attended by a large number
of jreenville people. , \
Thursday morning the scribes re
luctantly departed for their homes,,
carrying with them memories of one
of the .most enjoyable meetings of
recent years, and we sincerely hope
that the vir.it Will be as pleasantly re
called by the people of Greenville in
the months and years to come^as it will
be by the followers of the Fourth Es
tate who were so fortunate as to at
tend.
