The state highway commission has
definitely divided the atrfte into the
four districts for highwtiy construction
and maintenance, pne of the four com-
misionerH to be personally , in charge
of each of the districts designated.
Under the adjustment. Chairman Page
has oversight of 25 counties; J. E.
Cameron,*25 counties; James Norfleet,
25 counties, and J. G. Stikeleather, 25
counties and the counties assigned to
•ach beirijg grouped around the resi
dent county of the commisioner given
oversight. From now until the next
conference of the commision in* Ral
eigh April 21. the individual commis
sioners will devote their time, to vis
itations to the various counties in
their districts for conference with the
commisioners and other county road
authorities, the inspection of the coun
ty road projects and the like. The
past few days special committees
have visited Raleigh from Wayne and
Jones counties, to further their appli
cations for steps to be taken for se
curing federal aid for projects of road
conatruction in these counties.

The feasibility of using it for such a
purpose was further demonstrated in
