*on directed the maneuver of half a
dozen army airplanes flying over the
Potomac river several miles away.
The telephone as used was adjusted
dor three to five or six miles. It is
similar to the instruments used by
Aanericen aviators in France, the se
cret of which wns disclosed after the
armistice was signed.
