Mr. G. S. Dyehes, aged 57 years,
died at his home in the Healing
Springs section on Friday afternoon,
following an attack of Spanish in
fluenza which developed into pneu
monia. His body was laid to rest the
following day in the Double Ponds
Churchyard, the Rev. P. E. Bolen con
ducting the funeral services in the
presence of a large number of sor
rowing relatives and friends.
Mr. Dyches was a progressive farm
er, a good citizen and numbered his
friends by the score. In early life he
united with the Double Ponds Church.
He was a devoted husband, a kind and
loving father and a true friend. He
ia survived by HU wife, two daughters,
Mrs. D. P, Baxley, of Ellenton, and
Mrs. Hafry Cain, of Blackville; five
