Williston, Oct. IP.—The influewm situation has been largely controllai here, although onaofdhe physicians la in the army and another ia incapaci tated by reason of the disease. The improved condition is due largely to the cooperation of the people in the order of closing schools, churches sad other public assemblages. The mer chants are doing well their share a closing their stores early and thus ra- ducing the number who would crowd the stores and streets.. The gregar ious habits of the negroes have V vu- suited in a high percentage of the dia- ease for them. Very few fatalities have occurred, although 50 per cent of the population has been affected. The shortage of labor has been greftk- !y increased by reason of it. Allendale Goes Over.
