the latter his aged grandmother, Mrs.

They will come to Columbia on Fri
day and will motor over Saturday af
ternoon with the following members of
the famly party: Mr. and Mrs. M. D.
Boineau, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Ellis, Mr.
and Mrs. L. E. Rankin, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry G. Wilson of Charleston, Mr.
and Mrs. John Dozier Lee. —~
The wedding is to take place at the
historic old home of the bride, “Mid-
fields Plantation,” the ceremony at 9
o’clock to be followed by a reception
in old fashioned country style. The

Thursday afternoon to attend the flag-
raising exercises.

the Democratic voters in the coming

tion, provided they meet the condi
tions governing the award. Appli
cants for scholarships should write to
President Johnsen for scholarship ex
amination blanks. These blanks, prop
erly filled out by the applicant, should
be filed with President Johnson by July
1st.
Scholarships are worth $100 and
free tuition. The next session will
