Here’s hoping the Kaiser’s turn is
next.
No doubt when the United States
issues a call for volunteers many of
those who have been clamoring for
war will be afflicted with a sudden at
tack of deafness. j A
A Barnwell gentleman, in making
the prediction that war between the
United States and Germany would be
declared in April, points out that in
every war this country has ever been
engaged in action was commenced in
that month.
One difference between the German
and the Japanese navies is that the
Japanese sailors never have torpedoed
passenger ships withdut warning.—
The State. But if our memory serves
us right, they are not averse to be
ginning hostilities before a formal dec
laration of war.
