On the 16th day of July, 1916, the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Sunday School and community of the Barn well Association was deeply saddened by the death of our young brother, Robert Quincy Woodward. He w born in the year 1898 and united with the church at the age of ten years. ' Always being faithful, obedient and affectionate to his parents, brothers and sisters, he has served his Master and church likewise, until a few weeks ago, when he was driving horse, which became unmanagable, throwing him to the ground and caus ing serious injuries, resulting in his death. Therefore, be it Resolved, First: That we, as pro fessed Christians in Christ, bow humb ly to the will of Him who doeth all things well, having lost one whom we so much loved, being assured Heaven has gained him for higher service. Second: That his pure and unsel fish life be an example to us who mourn his loss and miss his daily walk, a devoted and earnest follower of our Lord and Saviour. Third: That we extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones. Fourth: That a page in our minute book be inscribed to his memory, that a dopy of these resolutions be sent to the bereaved family, and that a copy be published in the Baptist Courier and county papers.
