Omit All Meat From Diet if You Feel
Rheumatic or Bladder Bothers
The American men and women must
guard constantly against kidney
trouble, because we eat too much and
all our food is rich. Our blood is
filled with uric acid which the kidneys
strive to filter out, they weaken from
over-work, become sluggish; the elim
inative tissues clog and the result is
kidney trouble, bladder weakness and
a general decline in health.
When your kidneys feel like lumps
of lead, your back hurts or the urine
is cloudy, full of sediment or you are
obliged to seek relief two or three
times during the night; if you suffer
with sick headache or dizzy, nervous
spells, acid stomach, or have rheuma
tism when the weather is bad, get
from any druggist about one dozen
kidneco tablets; take one with a glass
of water before each meal for a few
days and your kidneys will then act
fine. This famous remedy is made
from perfectly harmless ingredients
and acts quickly and has been used for
generations to flush and stimulate
clogged kidneys; to neutralize the
acids in the urine so it no longer is a
source of irritation, thus ending blad
der disorders.
Kidneco is inexpensive; cannot in
jure, make no mistake, insist on kid
neco, it belongs in every home, because
nobody can make a mistake by having
a good kidney flushing any time.

The Aftermath.
The primary elections of 1916 are
now history. The smoke from the
ballots has cleared away, and life
moves on in its accustomed groove.
Hie results, of course, are not satis
fying to everybody, but this is only

To thoee who have been nominated
to offices to which they aspired we
want to say that the eyes of the peo
ple are on them and that when they
enter upon their public duties they
are expected to vindicate the high con
fidence and trust placed in them by
administering the affairs of their res
pective offices in a clean, wholesome,
honorable and fearless manner, re
membering always that it is only by
the suffrage of these people that they
received the nominations. Be true to
yourselves, gentlemen, “and it will fol
low as the night the day, thou canst
not then be false to any man. n
To the less fortunate ones the
thought has perhaps occurred that, in
politics as in other things, “many are
called but few are chosen,” but if
they have kept the faith and fought
the good fight they have no cause to
entertain vain regrets for what might
have been. Who knows but that in
the not far distant future they may
be glad they were defeated—finding
more of happiness and contentment
and prosperity in private life than in
the public service.
This chapter in the history of the
State is forever closed. Perhaps the

ery instance—that is something that
only time can show—but the march of
progress is ever onward, and one mis

grievous one, cannot seriously retard
it Let every man turn his face to the
rising sun and put his shoulder <o the
wheel, for South Carolina expects him
to do his full duty!
Poor old South Carolina! We aren’t
through with one election before we
are getting ready *or the next one.
The 1918 models are being discussed
already.
No, Celestine, we confess in a most
shameless manner that we really did
n’t know how the election was going
to turn out—that is, for ALL of the
offices.
The friends of R. A. Cooper have
a right to feel proud of their candi
date.
Now is the time for the know-it-alls
to warble, “I told you so.” %
Well, anyway, McLaurin and grati
tude are hot synonymous.
Now that it’s all over, let’s get down
to “brass tacks.”
