of Barnwell County for the splendid
vote given me in the first primary and
for the loyal supi&rt of my friends
which almost resulted in my election
on the first ballot -
For the paat two weeks l have
been sick with malarial fever, having
been confined to my room for the
greeter pert of the time, and there
fore have not been able to see the
voters and personally thank them as
it if my desire to do between now and
the second primary, my health per
mitting.
I trust thst my friends at every
box in the county will interest them
selves in my behalf to the end that
I may'receive a large majority of
the votes to be polled next Tuesday.
I wish to warn all the voters against
eleventh hour campaign rumors that
may be circulated for the purpose of
injuring me. I shall appreciate it as
s personal favor if any of my friends
will report any such rumors to me
promptly in order that I may be giv
en an oppdrtunity to correct same. I
expect to continue to conduct a Mean,
honorable and hightoned campaign,
and if elected I pledge myself to ex
ert every effort faithfully, honestly
and impartially in the development of
our resources and the upbuilding and
advancement of the interest of ALL
THE PEOPLE of the county and
State regardless of factional lines.
