Air Erroneous View.
The People understands that some
of the friends of ^buriff J. B. Morris
have constrbed the Article which ap
peared in last week’s f^sue as indi
cating the 'Sheriff’s choice^ n the race
for Governor It wss not ti|* mtrn*
tion of either Mr. Hay or this haper to
give our readers that impression, the
letter of our correspondent having
been M played up” with the sole aim
and desire of calling the attention of
the voters to the wrong that had been
done Governor Manning by the circu
lation of an erroneous report, and we
are at a loss to understand how any
one could have viewed the matter in
any other light.
As a matter of fact, Sheriff Morris
merely certified Ia> the truth of certain
statements which he knew were cor
rect, and his action was exactly like
that of a bank cashier who certifies
a check. Knowing that Mr. Hay's
statement* were true in every par
ticular, in justice to himself and Gov
ernor Manning, the Sheriff could not
well have done otherwise than he did.
Furthermore, his corroborative state
ment was made in his official capaci
ty, and not as an individual, and we
fail to see wherein it indicates his
choice for Governor. In spite of the
fact that the writer ha* “talked poli
tico” with the Sheriff on a number of
occasions, we have not the slightest
idea as to whom he voted for in the
first primary for Governor, nor how
he intends to vote in the second.
The editor of The People makes the
above explanation voluntarily, as we
have no desire whatever to place the
Sheriff in a false light before the pub-
.Bc.

Haven’t you often wished for a med
icine to reduce your flesh? Something
that does not require dieting or calis
thenics? Well, right here you have
it in 6-grain tassco tablets which you
may secure at any drug store. They
sre pleasant to take, perfectly harm
less and cause no restrictions of habit
or eating, and reduce the flesh, little
by little, until you are down to the
number of pounds you wish to weigh.
Too much flesh is undesirable, as most
quite stout people will readily admit,
and it detracts from one’s good ap
pearance; makes one' clumsy and short
of breath.
There isn't any reason why anyone
should be too stout, when there’s this
much-tried, perfectly satisfactory
remedy at any drug store. Tassco
tablets (don’t forget the name) are
recommended by physicians and are
guaranteed to be perfectly harmless.
Refuse substitutes, if you cannot come
to our store, we will mail tassco to
you. -

The American men and women must
guard constantly against kidney
trouble, because we eat too much and
all our food is rich. Our blood it
filled with uric acid which the kidneys
strive to filter out, they weaken from
over-work, become; sluggish; the elim
inative tissues cloiPttnd the result is
kiflney-trouble, bladder weakness and
a general decline in health.
When your kidneys feel like lumps
of lead, your back hurts or the urine
is cloudy, full of sediment or you are
obliged to seek relief two or three
times during the night; if you suffer
with sick headache or dizzy, nervous
spells, acid stomach, or havt rheuma
tism when the weather is bad, get
from any druggist about one dozen
kidneco tablets; take one with a glass
of water before each meal for a few
days and your kidneys will then act
fine. This famous remedy is made
from perfectly harmless ingredients
and acts quickly and haa been used for
generations to flush and stimulate
clogged kidneys; to neutralize the
acids in the urine so it no longer is a
source of irritation, thus ending blad
der disorders.
Kidneco is inexpensive; cannot in
jure, make no mistake, insist on kid
neco, it belongs in every home, because
nobody can make a mistake by having
a good kidney flushing any time.
