In The Mud
If you were shown a good road
around a mud puddle, yet as a'choice
proceeded to wade through the mud,
people would say you were foolish, and
you would be.
«
If a better plan for caring for your
money than by keeping it in the house,
hiding it under the bed, or secreting it
in a sock, were shown you,the modem
way of putting it in a reliable bank,
for instance, and you still handled
your money the old way, what would
they say? It would be as foolish to
follow the old custom as to walk in
the mud when there was a good road in
plain sight. '
