SCHOLARSHIP AND ENTRANCE EXAMINATION. The Long Branch Philodbphcr We visited Barnwell on field day and had an invitation to dine with the highest City official, the invite came however after we had a lunch on the Burmuda with a laprobe for a Table cloth, and was walking leasurely about picking our teeth with last years weed when asked who was there we said about eyry body we knew and at least twice as many more we enjoyed theh exercises about as well as could be expected for one of our cloth, but when looking for defects we believe they can be found, and we concluded that the orator of the day, while high learned and way up among the Jonses, placed most of his Hay way up in the rack most too high to be reached by the common com field, listner,, though it may be the best way to elevate d Majority of the listeners, provided they be Coledge Gradutds and able to prououne the Italian anff Rushian names , ... we decided that there were too many people together, yet &e did not have to be appeased by the Town Clerk The examination for the award of vacant scholarships in Winthrop Col lege and for the admission of new students will be held at the County Court House on Friday.
