commission to the Branch Furniture
Company of Fairfax with a capital

Mr. H. G. Boylston, of Blackville, has
been appointed demonstration agent
for Barnwell County. . He has already
entered upon his duties and expects to
make a canvass of the county the last
of this week and the first of next.

MRS. J. C. MATTHEWS DEAD.
Was Former Resident of Williston.—
Buried in Savannah Sunday.
The Augusta Chronicle of January
30th had the following account of the
death of a former Williston lady.
Her friends will be shocked to know'
of the death yesterday in Savannah,
at the home of her sister, of Mrs. J. C.
Matthews. Mrs Matthews had been
ill a long time. Skilled hands and lov
ing hearts contributed in every way
to endeavor to restore her to health,
but without avail. She went to Sa
vannah tome time ago in the hope that
the change might benefit her.
Mr. and Mrs. Matthews have en
joyed the high regard of Augustan*
for years. They lived in Monte Sano.
Mr. Matthews is in Savannah. He is
a well-known commercial broker of
Augusta and stands highly in business
circles here. The funeral of Mrs.
Matthews will take place in Savannah
in Laurel Grove Cemetery, this after
noon. „ .

Augusta about eighteen or twenty
years ago from Williston, S. C. Their
scores and scores of friend* in Au
gusta WIH deeply sympathize with Mr.
Matthews in his deep bereavement.
