Gantt left on Friday for Beaufort, where she will spend some time with her sister, Mrs. W. M. Steinmeyer. - *■ Mr. S. H. Hay, of Rock Hill, was a visitor here last week. Mr. C. J. Hay, of Barnwell, is spending a few days here, the guest of Relatives. Dr. W.^G. Milhous, of Barnwell, motored down on Thursday, fpr a day with ,the birds. The' farmers around this section are busy making plans for another year. The promises for a successful yean are, on the. whole* yery good, many of the farmers., .having built new tenant houses with promise of good tenants. Here’s hoping. ^ j Thanks, Brother. Mathis, of Blackville, was in the city Friday on business connected with the grinding up of the county dispensaries. , Price—Langley. A wedding beautiful in its simpli city was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Perry W. Price on Wednesday, January 5th, when their eldest daughter, Minnie Louise, be came the bride of Mr. Thomas J. Langley; the ceremony being impres sively performed by their pastor, the Rev. W. L. Hayes. The lovely young brid,e \yas becom ingly attired in midnight blue chif fon broadcloth, with picture hat and accessories to' match. Immediately after, the ceremony a wedding dinner was served. Mrs. Langley is one of Barnwell’s sweetest and fairest daughters and numbers her friends by the score. Mr. Langley is connected wjth ’the firm of J. A. Porter and is a young man of sterling qualities. The happy young couple left on the afternoon train for a visit to the bride’s sister, Mrs. J.
