O n of the queerest things about some people is that they will not
follow GOOD ADVICE when they KHOW they OUGHT TO.
Perhaps we are all more or less that way. All the wise men of
all ages hare urged their feUow beings to PUT AWAT SOMETHING
for a RAINY DAT. Good old BeajtMftin Franklin’s sayings on economy
and sating alone ought to make a bank book bolder of. EVERY ONE.
If yon hate DELATED, suppose you act HONESTLY with T0UH-

Nothing To It.
Nothing raises our wrath quicker
and causes us to grow warm undfer
the collar, than to see the farmer car
icatured as a “rube” with alfalfa chin
whiskers, holding an ancient pitch
fork and placidly chewing' a stem of
grass. ■ • '
It’s a libel on the best class of peo
ple in America. The farmer never
was a “rube” and is farther from it
to-day than ever before. He has a
better home, more money invested in
his business, than half the smart
“alecks” who try to misrepresent him.
