Adversity is religion’s greatest ally.
Belief is opinion that has stood the
test of truth.
The unbeliever should cultivate be
lief in the devil.
Our ideals of life represent our own
true inner selvei. '

A man's religion is what he learns at
his mother's knee.

Catarrhal Deafness Cannot Be Cored
by local applications, as they cannot Teach
the diseased portion ot the ear. There
Is only one way to cure catarrhal deafness,
and that is by a constitutional remedy.
Catarrhal Deafness Is caused by an In
flamed condition of the mucous llnlnr of
ths Eustachian Tube. When this tube Is
Inflamed you have a rumbltny sound or
Imperfect hearing, and when It Is entirely
closed. Deafness la the result. Unless the
Inflammation can be reduced and this tube'
restored to Its normal condition, hearing
will be drstrbyed forever. Many cases of
deafness are caused by catarrh, which Is
an Inflamed condition of the mucous sur
faces. Hall's Catarrh Cure acts thru the
blood t>n the mucous surfaces of the sys
tem.
We will give One Hundred Dollars for
any case of Catarrhol Deafness, that cannot
be cured by Hall's Catarrh Curd: Circulars
free. All Druggists. 7Sc.

Life is • dream in this world that is
continued in the next.
There ii no religion in self-denial,but
it comet a close second.
The true shield in life's battles is to
be armed with the Right.
It is wisdom’s part to know men,
piety's part to know God.
Actions are the substance of life,
dreams are life’s shadows.
No doubt the Allies were glad to tee
the Orocian bend. Hellup.
Ride an unbridled horse rather than
be led by an unruly tongue.
Master your mental forces and you
will master the forces of life. __ .
Those who falter between love and
hate are at war with themselves.
There is more education in example
than in all the theories of the world.
False modesty will not look at naked
truth, unless It is draped in fig-leaves.
Every man is the master of his own
mind, and can make himself what he
wills.
Pure religion is the best restraint of
crime, while poverty is often a mere
deterrent.
All that is necessary to make the
cycle complete is for Atlanta to produce
a mother who is unwilling to allow an
operation to save her defective child's
life, New York having followed Chi-
cago s lead.

And For Three Sommers Mrs. Vin

Any of Her Housework.
Pleasant HHl. N. C-—“I suffered for
three summers.” writes Mrs. Walter
Vincent, of this town, "and the third and
last time, was my worst.
I had dreadful nervous headaches and
prostration, and was scarcely able to
walk about Could not do any of my
housework.
I also had dreadful pains in my back
and sides and when one of those weak,
sinking spells would come on me, 1
would have to give up and lie down,
until it wore off. .
1 was certainly in a dreadful state of
health, when I finally decided to try
Cordui. the woman’s took, and 1 firmly
believe I would have died if I hadn't
taken it.
After I began taking Cardui, I was
greatly helped, and all three bottles re
lieved me entirely.
I fattened up, and grew so much
stronger in three months, 1 felt like an
other person altogether.'*
Cardui it purely vegetable and gentle
acting. Its ingredients have a mild, tonic
effect, on the womanly constitution
Cardui mokes for increased strength.
Improves the appetite, tones up the ner
vous system, and helps to make pale,
sallow cheeks, fresh and rosy.
Cardui has helped more than a million
weak women, during the past 50 years.
It will surely do for you. what it has
done for them. Tgr Cardui today.
