Teachers Examination.
Pursuant to an. order of the State
Bo-trd of Education, notice is hereby
given that the regular fall teachers
examination will be held in the court
house at Barnwell, Friday, October lat,
ISIS, beginning at 9:30a. ui. aud closing
promptly at 4:30 p. m
The examination will be based on the
following subjects:
Geography, P.dagogy, Civics and
Current Events, Physiology, Anthme
tic. Algebra, English, History and Agri
culture. The examination on the above
subject* will be bated upon the State
adopted text books. .
All teachers holding certificates as
the result of s teachers examination
are hereby notified that first and
second grade certificates will not be
renewed unless the holder hat attend
ed some summer school and imssed the
final examinaPon on at least three
branches. Tliii'd grade certificates will
not be renewed in any event.
Special attention is called to following
paragraph, as contained in s letter
i rum the State Superintendent of Ed
ucation, Hon. J. E. Swearingen, dated
September 6th, 1915:
“The Stste Department of Educa
tion sincerely hopes that every pre-
caut.on will be used by each county
superintendent of education and
county board of education to avoid
the ueccessity of asking for an
extra teachers’ examination in Jan
uary.”
