giver. The lusciousness of its rich,
red meat cannot be suprassed by the

A Novel Entertainment.
Allendale, July 25.—On Thursday
afternoon a most delightful and novel
entertainment in the form of a living
checker game was given under the
auspices of Mrs. Jack Harris Circle of
the W. M. S. The ladies were very
fortunate in securing the services of
Mr. Fishburne, the southern champion
checker player, and Mr. Dillon, of At
lanta.
The checker board was a large,
grassy one, and instead of in&nhqate
red and black men the checks on the
board were occupied by twelve most
attractive women opposing twelve most
attractive young men.
Three games were played, the rubber
being in favor of the girls, due to Mr.
Fishburne’s unparalleled playing.
