The Barnwell County friends of Jas
per Furman, formerly of this place but
now living in Los Angeles, Cal., will be
interested to learn of his marriage to
Miss Hazel Nicholson, of that city, on
June 1st.
Several Barnwell fans went oyer to
Williston Friday afternoon to witness
the Williston-Graniteville ball game
The score was 5 to 1 in favor of the
visitors, when rain broke up the game
in the eighth inning.

Fairfax, July 17.—Miss Ruth Wilson
entertained a large number of the
young folk of Fairfax and the neigh'
boring towns Monday evening in honor
of Miss Ruby Bryant of Orangeburg.
The evening’s amusement consisted of
games, conversation and music, after
which a delicious ice course was serv
ed. Punch was served throughout the
evening.
