Bamberg Monday afternoon to witness
the Bamberg-Walterboro ball game.
Gordon Pate, of Barnwell, pitched one
game of the double bill.
As the Glorious Fourth fell on Sun
day this year, Monday was observed by
the post office and banks of BArnwell
as a holiday. .The dispensaries of the
county were also closed.

well motored over to Bamberg Thurs
day afternoon to witness the Bamberg-
Wilhston ball game, which resulted in
a 3 to 0 victory for Bamberg.

very popular young couple of Brunson
was that of Mr. C. J. Miley to Miss
Lqcile Terry on the evening of June
30, in the town of Fairfax, near here.
The bnde and groom repaired to the
pastorium of the Lutheran pastor at
Fairfax and were made one by the
Rev. Mr. Groseplose. The bride is
Bte beautiful daughter of Mrs. H. R.
Terry, of Brunson. The groom is a
rising sndprosperoni merchant. They
win reside in their home here.
