The members of the Barnwell County
dispensary board held a meeting here
Friday and another one Tuesday. Only
routine business was transacted.
Dr. Geo. P. Bible will preach at the
Methodist Church Sunday night. There
will be special muaic and the public is
cordially invited to atten<Tthe services.
In the pension list published last
week, it was reported that Mr. Marion
Johnson was dead. This was an error
which The People takes great pleasure
to correcting.
Barnwell won an interesting game of
baseball Monday afternoon from Den
mark, the score being 4 to 3. A return
game is expected this (Thursd^y)after-
noon on the local diamond.
There will be an educational rally at
Friendship Church next Thursday, the
29th inst. -Lunch will by served on the
grounds and a cordial invitation is ex
tended to public to attend.
The Barnwell friends of Miss Thelma
Mazursky will learn with pleasure of
the distinguished record this young
lady is making at Winthrop College.
Her report shows that she lead the nine
hundred girls enrolled in that institu
tion.
Several hundred people from all sec-
tions of the county attended the annual
reunion of Camp Morrall at Meyer’s
Mill Friday. Excellent speeches were
made by several distinguished speakers
there was splendid music and a feast of
good things for “the inner man."
